ALTA maintains an independent Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) to assure data quality and integrity in compliance with applicable regulations. The ratio of laboratory analytical staff to QAU is less than 10:1.

Studies are audited and inspected in accordance with FDA and OECD GLP standards. ALTA's QAU actively participates in the Society for Quality Assurance (SQA) at both the national and regional chapters staying informed on regulatory trends.

• All studies conducted under protocol are inspected at defined critical phases. This includes study specific in-process inspections and data and final report audits. These procedures are conducted against ALTA or client specific SOPs.
• Routine facility audits and inspections are conducted by the QAU to assure consistency with laboratory SOPs and regulatory compliance.
